Knit Technique- Colorwork Cuff Socks

DATE/TIME: December 5 & 19, 2024; 1-3pm.  

Class includes: Practice colorwork knitting on the cuff of socks.  This is a two-part class. A kit is available for purchase, or you may use your own yarn. Additional purchase of pattern at the time of class will be required if you don’t purchase the kit.

Skill level: Advanced beginner

Techniques used:

• Twisted German Cast-On
• Stranded colorwork

Materials:

• Yarn- 1 full skein fingering/sock weight yarn, 2 mini skeins of similar yarn (or this kit)
• Needles and notions required:
  • 2.5mm (US 1.5) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round
  • 2.75mm (US 2) circular needle or double-pointed needles for working a small circumference in the round in colorwork (optional, depending on your colorwork tension)
  • Stitch markers
  • Stitch holders or waste yarn
  • Darning needle
