A two-session class to look more closely at lace knitting and a variety of lace stitches. Pattern must be purchased through Ravelry online in order to complete the class.
DATE/TIME: March 27 & April 3 , 2025; 1-3pm.
Class includes: Lace stitches including yarn-overs, decreases, and chart-reading.
Skill level: Intermediate
Materials:
- Purchased pattern online (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/my-shetland-home)
- Approx. 900 yards of fingering-weight, non-superwash wool such as Jamieson’s Spindrift, Cascade 220 fingering, or Geilsk Thin Wool. If you wish to use different colors as shown in the pattern, allow approx. 90 yards for each small section and approx. 180 yards for the middle section.
- Straight or 24″ circular knitting needles size 7 US. The needles should have sharp, tapered points such as Chiao Goo Lace needles.
- Yarn needle for grafting and weaving in ends.
- A magnet board is highly recommended (you will be working from charts).
Note: Prior to the first class homework required- cast on and knit 6 rows (the first 6 rows of chart A)
